The Hot-Orbital-Cloud (HOC) model is a novel approach to study the dynamics of gas giant planets. In contrast with the standard approach of integrating a grid of bodies with a given mass, the HOC model seeks to follow the flow of information and energy between the gas and the solid worlds. This model was first developed to model the gas giant planets in [@Webb05], but several variants have been recently developed to address more specific problems.

This paper describes a new version of the HOC model designed to analyze the radial-velocity signal in the transition region between the gas and the solid phases, and the evolution of the gas giants as they approach their planets. The paper is organized as follows: the next section presents the version of HOC model which considers the evolution of the system of giant planets. Section 3 describes how the radial-velocity effect in the gas and the solid phases is taken into account in this model. Section 4 contains a detailed description of the numerical methodology used to solve the model, while Section 5 is dedicated to the results of the code
